The Center/TACFS is excited to be leading the Texas Family Support Network as we support families across the state of Texas. On September 1, 2022 the network will be transitioning from Prevention and Early Intervention to The Center/TACFS and we are thrilled to continue building upon the foundation that PEI has laid.
The Texas Family Support Network (The Center/TACFS) will be hosting the two-day nationally adopted Standards of Quality for Family Strengthening & Support Virtual Certification Training in September!
Based on the Principles of Family Support Practice and the Strengthening Families Framework and its research-based evidence-informed 5 Protective Factors, the National Family Support Network has created a common language across different kinds of Family Strengthening and Family Support programs such as Family Resource Centers, home visiting programs, and child development programs.
This two-day virtual certification training details how the Standards can enhance work with families. Whether you are setting up a new program or strengthening an existing one, the Standards provide a blueprint for implementing best practice.
Day 1: September 20th 9:00am-3:30pm Day 2: September 21st 9:00am-3:00pm
Participants who complete the full 2 days will receive a certificate from the National Family Support Network that is valid for two years.
Participants will be required to attend both days of training and have a training manual to follow along with in order to receive certification. The manual will be mailed to participants prior to the first day of training. ***Upon registration, please provide the shipping address you would like the manual sent to. Registration will close on September 2nd.
