Join us on December 13th from 9am - 10:30am CST for our BBI Learning Circle focused on youth advisory councils.  We are excited to be featuring some incredible work happening at Texas based DePelchin Children’s Center and some insights from BBI’s Executive Director Mark Nickell and Consultant Laura Tate about their time as Director and resident at Seneca Family of Agencies in California.

Marina Rozen, QMHP at DePelchin and Darrien Phillips, Administrator of Residential Services for the DePelchin Children’s Center RTC will be talking about the Youth Ambassador Program.  Marina leads this program, under direction from Darrien.  The Youth Ambassador Program was created to offer youth an opportunity to showcase and improve their existing leadership skills, obtain new leadership skills, motivate them to continue making good choices, and expose them to a variety of new experiences.

Mark and Laura will talk about the youth advisory board at Seneca.  Laura was the founder of that initiative.  They will also talk about additional strategies to engage youth.

This promises to be an exciting and informative session.
