Victims and survivors of trafficking require a well-rounded approach to ensure successful outcomes and person-centered care which includes the participation of various service providers, law enforcement entities, legal supports, and medical personnel. This session will include steps to create and maintain a successful group of individuals from different roles and sectors who are joining together to provide support specific to victims and survivors of trafficking and CSEY. Attendees will gain ideas and motivation for implementing or maintaining an effective, functioning team across agencies and disciplines. They will also gain successful strategies to incorporate into their existing cross-sector collaborations. This session will include ideas for cross-sector team best practices and person-centered and trauma-informed responses to enhance teams' successes in recovering and assisting victims and survivors of trafficking.
This training goes beyond just defining cross-sector collaboration; here, you will learn the goals and purposes of team collaboration, how to develop a human trafficking specific team, special considerations for human trafficking survivors, who to include on your team, as well as considerations for maintaining a team long-term. This in-person training includes resources, open discussion, and videos.
This 8-hour IN-PERSON training is specific to any child-serving provider who is involved in cross-systems collaboration, involved in care coordination, or plans to join a care coordination team.
